Hey Leggy Lovelies,
How the ruddy hell are you?
I am NOT okay. Mainly because I wrote this entire post, outside in the garden, getting eaten by midges, only to make the rookie error of forgetting to hit save and then running out of battery on my laptop. Grrr. Honestly, it was an amazing post. Blooming hilarious. You’ll just have to make do with this one instead.
Anyway, I’m ploughing on regardless and writing to you again tonight, because I really want to start August as I mean to go on. Plus, for the content of this post I simply must exploit a well-known Twitter term, and I only have a couple of hours with which to apply it. Throwback Thursday. No, this isn’t a post you’ve seen before (I wouldn’t go off the radar for a month and return to rip you off that badly). This, my very leggy lovelies, is about doing a Princess Anne. And recycling your old clothes.
I’ve been doing that a lot this month. A work project has left me with little time to shop (or blog… sorry), so I’ve been getting myself reacquainted with some old favourites. The 90s throwback trend has brought denim of all descriptions back in a serious way, so I went very far back through my rails and found this old Oasis shirt dress. I’m not even sure why I held onto it in the first place. But I’m rather glad that I did.
Which brings me on to my next point (and big fat question). Why the hell did I throw away that Topshop dungaree dress from 2004, or that stripey cotton sundress, or that button-down midi skirt?
Okay, so if I’m being completely honest, the last one was thrown out in 1993, along with my 20 inch waist. But I’m pretty sure I would look so damn hot right now in some of my seriously old clothes. Maybe.
Which brings me on to my big fat question for you. With the current trend for re-hashing 90s trends, what is the one thing you WISH you’d never thrown out? That pair of dungarees you swore you’d NEVER wear again? Or maybe you’d go further back and retrieve that 80s lurex catsuit you could totally rock now with a pair of heels?
And which of you jammy leggy things have held on to an absolute classic that looks just as good now as it did way back when? Share share.
P.S. This lavender field is 5 minutes’ drive from my house. I may just shoot every single outfit post there from now on.
