WIN a pair of Shoesissima Shoes

Ever seen a shoe competition in a  blog or magazine and thought, “Yup, I’d LOVE to win that beautiful pair of shoes… but as if there’ll be a pair in my size…”

Me too.

So I thought I’d right some wrongs.

This week, All the Tall things is offering you the chance to win a gorgeous pair of chunky-heeled sandals worth £79.99, courtesy of lovely large-size shoe brand Shoesissima.

Chunky-heeled sandals are everywhere thanks to the likes of Isabel Marant, Marni and Rag & Bone showcasing such styles on their S/S runways, but there are very few pairs available for us larger-footed ladies.

Enter the leather platform called “Kim” . If you’ve read my previous shoe posts, you’ll know I have something of a nudey fetish already, so this pair has fitted in to the family rather well. And it’s so versatile. Here are three ways I’ll be rocking mine this summer… (links to other products included where available.)

Beer Garden with the Mates

Top, Skirt & Bag, Primark/ Hat, River Island £16/ Necklace, Ark/ Bracelets, Republic

Date with the Boy

Top, Warehouse/ Tall Jeans, Topshop £40/ Earrings, Miss Selfridge/ Bag, Primark

Marbs* with the Girls

Dress, ASOS £25/ Necklace, H+M/ Bag, Next

*Technically I’ll be going to France with the girls this year… but I do wish I’d had this outfit when we were in Marbella…

All you need to do to be in with a chance of winning, is drop a comment below telling us what you’d wear your pair with.

Good luck girlies! 🙂

Ts & Cs

The competition is open to all Leggy Lovelies, regardless of where in the world they live. You must include your email address in the relevant box with your comment, but this will NOT be visible and will only be used if you are the winner and we need to contact you regarding your prize. Shoes are available in UK sizes 8-12. Regrettably we cannot offer bespoke sizes. Competition closes at midnight on 18/4/13. Winner will be announced on the All the Tall things Facebook Page on 19/4/13.

I’d wear these with my new LTS tea dress at the christening of baby Toby – I’m to be the godmother!

  2. I would wear mine with a grey asymmetric stripy top and a pearl and sequin mini for more formal events and then with a long grey dress from ASOS and a massive floppy hat for chilling during the day.

  3. Dorothea Mueller

    What a lovely idea!
I’d wear the sandals with a printed wide skirt and a white blouse for a stroll in town with my friends and a visit to my favourite ice cream parlour.

  4. I’d wear mine with my bikini! Swimsuits always look better with heels 😉

  5. Riah Fairweather

I’d wear them with my new favourite pair of high-waisted giraffe printed shorts: (http://www.topshop.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=1&viewAllFlag=&catalogId=33057&storeId=12556&productId=9621656&langId=-1&sort_field=Relevance&categoryId=208529&parent_categoryId=203984&pageSize=2000) , with a sheer black top and a bandeux underneath for a night out on my first ever girls holiday to Marmaris! xx

  6. I’d wear them with my LTS skinny/fitted jeans (I have had my favourite pair since 2006 and there still going!) and a halter top. I think they would be perfect for my party following my completion (hopefully!!) of the Great East Swim.

  7. I’d wear them with the amazing linen-coloured asymmetric Grecian-style designer dress by a Japanese designer which I picked up a few years ago, heavily discounted to an unbelievable price – possibly the most beautiful and unusual item of clothing I own.

  8. I would wear mine with some skinny dark jeans, a cool cotton shirt and casual jacket and I will wear them for taking out my lovely grand children; I am still young enough to rock those sandals 🙂 Thank you.

  9. I’d wear them with this great navy dress that I just got. I’ve been searching for shoes to wear with them, and these look perfect!

  10. I would wear them with my vintage 90’s floral print dresses! So great! Thank you!

  11. Gorgeous Shoes! I’d pair with black ankle grazing jeggings, cropped tank top, and my new denim slouchy parka (as its not quite summer yet!), with a long necklace, satchel and sunnies to accessorize

  12. I think I might just have to admire them for a while before wearing! I’d have to take the plunge & wear a pair of heels for a change. I would probably wear with a pair of white linen wide leg trousers & a jewelled evening top & encourage my hubbie to take me out to celebrate!

  13. I will wear them to my nieces wedding and on our cruise we are going on this summer for my daughter’s graduation. I hope she does not steal them from me if I win!!! 🙂

  14. With a denim shirt, lacey shorts +a pretty long-line necklace. I’d add a splash of colour with a neon pedicure too. And hair in plaits obviously!

  15. I’d never wear them, I would keep them in an atmosphere controlled glass display cabinet in the museum of shoes I intend to open as a retirement project.

  16. I have been looking for shoes like this for weeks!Everything in larger sizes seems to be made with a stiletto heel, which is difficult to balance on when you’re 6foot2 and NOT a skinny rake! I’d wear mine with a flowing midi dress and a pretty Grecian headband around my forehead.

PS.Like those giraaffe shorts too Riah. Do they come up long then? Sick of all these teeny shorts that look like pants on me.

  17. ps. By the way – is the competition a random selection from the entrants? Or are we competing with the content of our responses? If the latter, what are the criteria for judgement?

An imaginative suggestion will help you get noticed Jane! But it’s great to hear everyone’s input and ideas. I’m getting very inspired for summer reading all these responses! x

  18. These are perfect! I have toga parties left right and centre these days. Do I want to look like a statuesque (modern) Greek or Roman goddess and embrace my height for once? Um… Yes please!

  20. Love this competition, the shoes are gorgeous and yes I have never entered a shoe competition before for the reason you suggest!

There are so many ways I would wear these sandals, but first off I would pair them with a pair of neon skinny jeans to show the off 🙂

  21. I will wear them on my head to Ascot.

  22. Some of these replies are so funny- tall girl power!

I just got a beaut of a dress (also known as THE dress or the ‘freak-em’ dress) which is a navy bandage dress copying Herver Leger from French Connection (sale of course but will still be wearing it everyday to make the most of it!). I think we should add the wedges and have a ‘freak-em’ OUTFIT!

(I’ll send over a snap of the dress soon for tried it on Friday (once the birthday pictures come out… could be dodge!) the waist even fits right, even if you’re a lanky so and so!)

    xoxo

  23. These shoes are lovely!

I would wear them with a tan wrap style top and a midi skirt (navy) when I go on a date night with my husband (the first since my 14month old was born)

Not very inventive, but I’m a poor SAHM who doesn’t buy clothes very often 🙂

Also. I enjoy being taller than my husband!

  24. Sandra O'Keefe

I love these shoes!! I would wear them with a variety of my spring/summer dresses for which they would be perfect. They’re stylish without trying too hard. Love!

  25. With nothing but a long white shirt (over a bikini, obviously!) and chunky gold jewellery, by a pool, preferably with Chippendale-esque waiters handing me passionfruit mojitos the size of my head. A girl can dream…

  26. I’d wear these with NOTHING – for my boyfriend’s pleasure! Happily, he has great taste in shoes, so he would appreciate them more that way…

  27. I’d love to wear these with my floral blue strap across mini dress , with my black leggings and cream cardigan. They are absolutely perfect 🙂

  29. Colette Connolly

I would wear them with my favourite jeans and my holiday tan!

  30. Love these shoes! I had a bit of a spend on the New Look website at the weekend – 2 maxi skirts, 2 midi dresses and a few tops (oops!) – and these would go with them all. Heading to ibiza in the summer so I promise to take these shoes out for a cocktail (or three) at a sunset bar, with a simple summer dress and chunky statement jewellery.

  31. I would channel Bet Lynch with my short but respectable leopard print dress, and wear it with a nice tan, a sassy black leather studded clutch, and a big smile as I would be able to walk in comfort rather than tottering around in stiletto heels.

  32. Hmmmm… Since stumbling across this blog, I’ve loved all the tips on where to buy flattering-tall-friendly-stuff! I think I’d pair them with my black midi dress from New Look! A change of scarf or handbag and it would look like a different outfit every time 🙂 But also a good excuse to wear them shopping to find a handbag to match… It is “no shopping April” and my resolve is waning!!!! x

  33. Great shoes! I’d wear them with my black New Look Tall midi
and Aztec crop top (wear the skirt high and you just get a tasty strip of tummy rather than a yet-to-be-tanned expanse!) or with, wait for it, DOUBLE DENIM! in the form of my great River Island Long skinny jeans and New Look Tall denim shirt. With a big gold necklace, orange lips, black liner and a bun.

  34. Annabel Rhodes

I would wear them with everything and anything from dresses, skirts, leggings, jeans to my bikini, I wouldn’t have them off my feet, though I would have to share them with my sisters and my mum! Good luck to everyone x

  35. So nice! I think my first spin in these babies would have to be with my new white lace shorts from H&M and a silk, baby pink, quarter sleeve top from Zara that features a layered open back. Throw in a chunky, multi colored stone collar necklace from Anthropologie, some hot shades, screaming red lipstick and a braided crown hairstyle and I would be ready to strut the streets.

  36. I want them, they look fab. Perfect for my son’s christening. I’d wear them with a pretty tea dress I have ear-marked for the occasion. They’d look great and would make me tower over my very lucky hubby 🙂

  37. Just lovely – I’d feel like Cinderella, with them being available up to a size 12 – wow! No more squashed (read ‘bruised!) toes whilst chuntering “These shoes will SURELY fit……!”. My first outing would be wearing them to a much needed Spa trip – for pedicure and toenail painting!

  38. joanne buckland

to bed , but if i really had to wear them out ,
and as the wind and clouds have dissapeared and the joyfull sun beams through the window bringing the promise of warm spring/ summer nights they would be perfect with my flowy floral fantastic maxi skirt teamed with my neatral spahgetti strap vest top and denim jacket with my not so little tootsys painted to match my also not so dainty digits and lips which i hasten to add are just dandy , would they get worn to death yes probally there to nice to hide away 🙂

  39. They are gorgeous! I would wear these with confidence and a pedicure!!

  40. I adore these shoes and finally a size 12 might just fit me! I’d wear those all summer with shorts and a nice tank blouse and some chunky gold bracelets or a necklace! Would go perfect with skirts as well, and even jeans in the late summer with a light blazer! Such a perfect little pair for an 18 year old’s summertime adventures!

  41. Even thought I’m tall, I still love wearing heels and these would be great for summer. Would definitely wear with dresses all summer long! Thanks for the offering the giveaway!

  42. I’d wear these with denim cut-offs, a plain white vest and a check shirt – I’ve just watched Nashville so I’m feeling the country vibe! It’s a simple look but it works well. If I’m feeling brave I might even add a cowboy hat…yee-haw!

  43. I’d wear these with a silvery embellished tunic top, and skinny navy jeans for my photo shoot on Alltthetallthings.com when I win these fab shoes!

  44. Charlena Nogoda

Normally pure 24k bracelets would conquer 18k ones but there appears to be a growing trend of consumer requests and purchases for 18k Italian gold bracelets, necklaces, and so on. If you’ll be shopping for this kind of jewelry consider the benefit of having 18k bracelets over pure gold ones.,:
