Shoesissima Twitter Competition

The leaves are turning golden brown and I’m about to pop. Which can only mean two things: 1) Autumn is here and 2) You probably need a new pair of boots.

Luckily large-size shoe brand Shoesissima is on hand to help in that department, with various styles available in a UK Size 8 to 12. I love the very Alexa-esque Chelsea Boots (£139), available with free delivery and returns at ASOS.

The lovely people at Shoesissima are giving away one pair to an All the Tall things reader. You could win a brand new pair of leather ankle boots worth £139, just by briefly describing your dream pair of shoes.

How to enter:

1) Follow @tallthings on Twitter (if you’re not already)

2) Tweet @tallthings and describe your dream shoe. It can be anything from the sublime “lime green and pink polka dots with LED heels” to the downright necessary “a flat, studded black boot”. What do you WANT to see in your shoe size? Let us know.

3) Use the hashtag #bootcomp

e.g. @tallthings Midi heeled chunky black boots with steel capped toes #bootcomp

One winner will be picked at random from your entries (we’re looking for honest, not necessarily witty or clever answers, because we REALLY want to know what kind of shoes you’re after. Who knows, you may see Shoesissima creating that shoe you’ve been hankering after for years…).

(For links to other products featured, hover over the pictures above. The checked shirt is from ASOS Tall and YES, the sleeves are super long).

Ts and Cs:

The competition is open to all Leggy Lovelies, regardless of where in the world they live. Shoes are available in UK sizes 8-12. Regrettably we cannot offer bespoke sizes. Competition closes at midnight on 17/10/14. Winner will be announced on All the Tall things Facebook and Twitter page on 18/10/14.

Win a £100 voucher to spend at Nine West

Long time readers of the blog will remember me getting just a tad excited about buying a pair of buttery-soft leather boots from Nine West back in 2011. Well, the boots are still going strong, and so is Nine West’s range of size nine shoes: it currently consists of 83 pairs in a UK size 9.

Now Nine West has teamed up with All the Tall things to give one lucky UK or Ireland based reader a £100 voucher to spend online, with free delivery. And since we wouldn’t want to leave out those leggy lovelies whose feet are bigger than a size 9, the voucher can be spent on any of Nine West’s fabulous bags or accessories too. Hurrah.

Nine West

I road-tested its best-selling Flax pair of courts (£95). Fortunately for me, they come up in a generous size 9 (think Next rather than Topshop), and the cushioned sole kept my feet feeling supported and comfy; qualities that are often lacking in cheaply made courts.

Top: Embellished blouse, Mango £34.99/ Black shift dress, Long Tall Sally £75 / Bag, Zara £49.99Shoes, Nine West £95. Bottom: Red jacket, Miss Selfridge/ Blouse, H+M/ Necklace, Vietnam/ Jeans, Topshop £40/ Shoes, Nine West £95

These courts are ideal for the office but are built for walking and dancing too, with a sturdy heel, soft leather, and no pinching at the sides or the opening. It’s only in my late twenties that I’m starting to realise a little extra investment in quality shoes goes a very long way.

If you’d like to be in with a chance of winning the voucher, answer this question in the comments section below this post.

What advice would you give your younger self?

Give us your wise old words about height, love, life or style. The best answer wins the spree!

WIN a pair of Shoesissima Shoes

Ever seen a shoe competition in a  blog or magazine and thought, “Yup, I’d LOVE to win that beautiful pair of shoes… but as if there’ll be a pair in my size…”

Me too.

So I thought I’d right some wrongs.

This week, All the Tall things is offering you the chance to win a gorgeous pair of chunky-heeled sandals worth £79.99, courtesy of lovely large-size shoe brand Shoesissima.

Chunky-heeled sandals are everywhere thanks to the likes of Isabel Marant, Marni and Rag & Bone showcasing such styles on their S/S runways, but there are very few pairs available for us larger-footed ladies.

Enter the leather platform called “Kim” . If you’ve read my previous shoe posts, you’ll know I have something of a nudey fetish already, so this pair has fitted in to the family rather well. And it’s so versatile. Here are three ways I’ll be rocking mine this summer… (links to other products included where available.)

Beer Garden with the Mates

Top, Skirt & Bag, Primark/ Hat, River Island £16/ Necklace, Ark/ Bracelets, Republic

Date with the Boy

Top, Warehouse/ Tall Jeans, Topshop £40/ Earrings, Miss Selfridge/ Bag, Primark

Marbs* with the Girls

Dress, ASOS £25/ Necklace, H+M/ Bag, Next

*Technically I’ll be going to France with the girls this year… but I do wish I’d had this outfit when we were in Marbella…

All you need to do to be in with a chance of winning, is drop a comment below telling us what you’d wear your pair with.

Good luck girlies! 🙂
