Hi Leggy Lovelies,
Just a quick post today — but I wanted to share my outfit because we all know how ruddy hard it is to find a maxi skirt, and I’m slightly obsessed with this electric blue pleated one (£55) from Long Tall Sally.
There are so many ways to wear it — roughed-up and casual with a biker and trainers, pretty and ethereal with beaded sandals and chunky jewellery, or even with a crisp shirt or blazer for the office.
It’s so long that I can wear it with my heeled ankle-boots, and the elasticated waist means that you can rock it whether you’re 5’11 or 7 foot … just pull it up around your waist if you’re shorter, or wear low-slung on the hips if you’re at the taller end of tall. (You know the drill by now…)
I’ve worn it with my Topshop biker (£58) — which I seem to be wearing every day in this changeable, in-betweeny weather — and billowing butterfly-print Zara scarf (£19.99) for an extra pop of colour.
Anyone else found any pretty maxi skirts/ dresses? I’m off on my holibobs soon and looking for some seriously pretty summer frocks. Share share!

Take one long-length Maxi skirt (I’ve used this lovely jersey one from tallgirls.co.uk… it has a stretchy waistband so you can wear it as high or as low as you choose) and style it up for three very different days out…
After my tan-tastic T.O.W.I.E post, lovely All the Tall things reader Tessa asked for a style feature about her favourite reality soap. Funnily enough, Made In Chelsea — with its awkward pauses, unbearable sexual tension and glossy-haired it-set — is fast becoming another of my guilty pleasures. (I really ought to start watching BBC4 documentaries…).
Made in Chelsea, currently showing on E4
Chelsea has all the designer luxury of Brentwood, but the money is older, the skin is dewier, the clothes are subtler and the big hair is actually natural (damn those perfect posh genes). Here’s how to channel your favourite cast member in clothes from the Tall ranges.

Rosie (Punky Posh)
Caggie (Pretty Posh)
Rah indeed. Got a request for style post? Hit the Facebook page or leave a comment on the blog and I will do my very leggy best to help you out.
All the Tall things reader Maiken is a big fan of scarves: “Tall women do seem to be able to look better in scarves. Must be something about the proportions…”
I’m a scarf fanatic, whether it’s a big cosy over-sized winter warmer (I bought one from a furniture shop once that was actually supposed to be a knitted sofa throw!) or a nice ethnic-print pashmina from my holidays.
However you wear it, a scarf adds interest to your look and breaks up a long silhouette.
Here are a few bits of gorgeous neck-candy from the web… I’m particularly in love with the giraffe-print one above… it makes a cheeky but sophisticated little reference to your height too! 🙂
